Sometimes I jokingly say that ArmsVault started as a spreadsheet. In all honesty, that isn't far from the truth.
In 2005 I was asked by a gun related company to help out with their website and marketing. As a gun enthusiast, supporter of the Second Amendment, and geek, I jumped at the opportunity.
While working with this company, one of our projects was to accumulate a database of other gun related companies. In a relatively short period of time, the list grew to over 1,000 companies. To make things a little more organized, I created a small website with links to each of these gun companies.
It didn't take long for me and a few friends to realize that this list was a great resource for gun owners. So, with a little bit of work, ArmsVault was formed in 2006.
Today, ArmsVault is much more than that original list of gun companies (which is now in the ballpark of 3,000 companies). But, our mission remains the same... Connect gun owners to the gun industry.
To some, that may seem like a vague mission statement. But, our reasoning is quite simple... A stronger gun industry equals a stronger Second Amendment.
